Frozen box mod IQOS in Luanda: the budget shortlist
Frozen in Luanda: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Angola.
Coil life, liquid cost and the frozen habit
We run frozen the same way in Luanda: same box mod, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Ordering into Luanda usually means waiting 8–15 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: frozen in Luanda works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a frozen box mod really costs in Luanda
The honest read on frozen: 24 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested frozen in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Angola, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 8–15 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Angola, since tanks and pods go first.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised Kz59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run Kz2.96 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Angola applies customs scrutiny on vaping imports; budget for delays.
Packaging for frozen in Angola must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Luanda: about Kz2.96 per 10 ml liquid plus Kz59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On frozen the budget price and the premium price can sit within Kz2.96 per 10 ml once 8–15 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should frozen start at?
Start at whatever Angola allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
