Sour RDA IQOS in Luanda: the budget shortlist
Sour in Luanda: 13 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Angola.
What the label on Sour is allowed to say
We run sour the same way in Luanda: same RDA, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Luanda that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within Kz3.37 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour RDA really costs in Luanda
Sour in Luanda reaches the shelf in RDA formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested sour in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Angola, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 8–15 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 8–15 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Angola sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Angola applies customs scrutiny on vaping imports; budget for delays.

Frequently asked questions
Is sour legal to sell in Angola?
Angola applies customs scrutiny on vaping imports; budget for delays.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever Angola allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
